SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card Review 2026
At ₹499 per year — one of the lowest annual fees among proper rewards cards in India — the SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card is hard to ignore for online shoppers on a budget. Ten times the rewards on a curated set of top online platforms, five times on everything else online, and a spend waiver threshold that’s entirely reachable. This is the entry-level online shopping card to beat.
The Fee Structure
The SBI SimplyCLICK charges a ₹499 joining fee and ₹499 annual fee. The annual fee is waived if you spend ₹1 lakh in the previous year. For anyone using this as their primary online shopping card — just ₹8,334/month online — the waiver is a given, making this effectively free after year one.
Even without the waiver, ₹499 is a small enough fee that the card earns it back quickly. Spend ₹10,000/month on Amazon (at 10X) and you’ll cross the waiver threshold and generate far more reward value than the annual fee.
Earn Rates: The 10X Partners Are the Story
10X Reward Points on: Amazon, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Lenskart, Netmeds, Myntra (subject to current partner list — verify on SBI Card’s website, as partners may be updated).
5X Reward Points on: all other online transactions.
1X Reward Points on: offline transactions and fuel.
SBI Reward Points are valued at ₹0.25 per point for standard redemptions. This means:
- 10X on Amazon = effectively 2.5% cashback equivalent on Amazon purchases
- 5X on all online = 1.25% cashback equivalent online
- 1X offline = 0.25% (ignore this, use another card offline)
At 2.5% equivalent on Amazon, this isn’t far behind the Amazon Pay ICICI’s 5% — but that card is free. If you have the Amazon Pay ICICI, the SimplyCLICK makes more sense as a card for the other 10X partners: BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Lenskart, Netmeds.
Milestone Benefits
The SimplyCLICK includes a milestone structure based on annual spending:
- Spend ₹1 lakh annually: ₹500 Cleartrip e-voucher
- Spend ₹2 lakh annually: ₹500 Cleartrip e-voucher
Two Cleartrip e-vouchers per year worth ₹1,000 total is a meaningful perk if you book flights or hotels on Cleartrip. Against a ₹499 fee, you’re already net positive from milestone vouchers alone if you use Cleartrip.
The Partner List in Practical Terms
Amazon: At 10X, this gives you 2.5% equivalent. If you don’t have Amazon Pay ICICI (5%), this is your best Amazon card. If you already have Amazon Pay ICICI, stack SimplyCLICK for other partners.
BookMyShow: 10X on movies and events. For regular moviegoers spending ₹1,000–2,000/month on BookMyShow, this generates meaningful points at 2.5%.
Cleartrip: 10X on flight and hotel bookings. Useful for domestic travel booked through Cleartrip. The milestone vouchers are also Cleartrip-branded, reinforcing this card’s travel-adjacent value.
Lenskart: 10X on spectacles, sunglasses, and contact lenses. Niche but genuinely useful if Lenskart is your eyewear source.
Netmeds: 10X on medicines and health products. For families with regular pharmacy spend, this adds up.
Myntra: 10X on fashion and lifestyle. Pairs well with Myntra sale events (End of Reason Sale, Big Fashion Festival) when spends can be significant.
What’s Weak
Offline spending: 1X is useless. Never use this card at physical stores — you’re better off using a higher-earning card.
No lounge access: None. This is an online shopping card, not a travel card.
Forex markup: 3.5% — typical for this segment, but don’t take this abroad.
Point redemption: SBI’s rewards portal is functional but not exciting. Points redeem for merchandise, statement credit, and flight/hotel bookings. The per-point value is modest.
Who Is This Card For?
The SBI SimplyCLICK hits a specific gap in the market: someone who wants rewards on online spending, uses a broad range of online platforms, and isn’t ready to spend more than ₹499/year on a card.
It’s also an excellent secondary card for someone who already has the Amazon Pay ICICI and wants to add 10X coverage on Cleartrip, BookMyShow, Lenskart, and Myntra.
The typical SimplyCLICK user might look like: a working professional who books movies on BookMyShow, orders medicines from Netmeds, buys occasional flights on Cleartrip, and spends a meaningful amount on online shopping beyond Amazon. For that profile, 10X across five platforms at ₹499/year is exceptional value.
SimplyCLICK vs Competing Entry-Level Cards
vs Amazon Pay ICICI (free): If you primarily shop on Amazon, ICICI’s 5% beats SimplyCLICK’s 2.5% equivalent, and it’s free. But SimplyCLICK covers more platforms. Best solution: hold both.
vs HDFC Millennia (₹1,000/year): Millennia covers Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Swiggy, Zomato, BookMyShow at 5%, capped at ₹1,000/month. SimplyCLICK’s 10X partners don’t include Swiggy/Zomato but does cover Cleartrip and Netmeds. Millennia is slightly better for food delivery; SimplyCLICK better for Cleartrip and medicines. The fee difference is small.
vs Flipkart Axis (₹500/year): 5% on Flipkart, 4% on Swiggy/Zomato, but limited beyond those. SimplyCLICK covers more platform diversity.
Verdict
For ₹499 per year with a reachable waiver, the SBI SimplyCLICK is one of the best value-per-rupee cards in India. The 10X partner list covers a thoughtful selection of platforms that most urban Indians use, and the Cleartrip milestone vouchers sweeten the deal further.
It’s not the right card if you need lounge access, travel internationally, or spend heavily offline. It’s precisely the right card if you live online, want to cover the widest range of platforms for minimal cost, and are building the foundation of a card stack. At ₹499, the risk of being wrong is negligible.
