Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
CardArtha ("we", "us", "our") operates the website cardartha.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our Site. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
1. What Data We Collect
1a. Automatically Collected Data
When you visit our Site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) and analytics tool may automatically collect:
- IP address (truncated / anonymised where possible)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL (how you found our site)
- Device type
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (or Google Analytics, if configured). Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-friendly by design — it does not use cookies and does not track users across sites.
1b. Newsletter Subscriptions
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We store this with our email service provider (Brevo / Sendinblue). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email.
1c. Contact Form
If you submit a contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add contact form submissions to our marketing list without your explicit consent.
1d. Comments (Cusdis)
Comments posted on our articles are powered by Cusdis. When you post a comment, your name and comment text are submitted to and stored on Cusdis servers. CardArtha does not store comment data on its own servers. Please review Cusdis's Privacy Policy for details of how they handle your data.
2. Cookies
We aim to use as few cookies as possible. The following cookies may be set on your browser:
- Essential cookies: Set by Cloudflare for security and performance. These cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality.
- Analytics cookies: If we use Google Analytics, it sets cookies to track page views. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-Out Extension. Cloudflare Web Analytics (our preferred option) does not use cookies.
- Advertising cookies: If Google AdSense is active on our site, Google may set cookies to display personalised advertisements. You can manage your Google ad preferences at myadcenter.google.com.
3. Affiliate Links
Our Site contains affiliate links — links to credit card application pages from which we may earn a commission if you apply and are approved for a card. These links are marked with "nofollow sponsored" attributes and disclosed prominently on every page.
When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network (e.g., Cuelinks, vCommission) or the card issuer may set tracking cookies. We do not control these third-party cookies. Clicking an affiliate link does not cost you anything extra and does not affect our editorial ratings or rankings.
4. Google AdSense
We display advertisements via Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.
5. Amazon Associates India
CardArtha is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.in. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon may set cookies when you visit Amazon.in via our links.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:
- Cloudflare: Our hosting and CDN provider — processes access logs.
- Brevo (Sendinblue): Our email service provider — stores newsletter subscribers.
- Cusdis: Our comment platform — stores comments submitted through our site.
- Google: Analytics and advertising services, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Data Retention
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Analytics data retention is set per the service provider's minimum available option.
8. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Site is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. External Links
Our Site contains links to third-party websites (card issuers, airlines, hotel programs, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact
For questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please use our contact form. CardArtha is operated anonymously; we do not publish a physical address.
